Picture perfect memories, scattered all around my desk.

Somehow, I just couldn't get to sleep so I've decided to spend the night reminiscing the good old times I've had with my friends throughout all these years. Geez, I've got one whole box full of neoprints and it actually took me 20 long minutes to arrange and group the respective neoprints together. D=

Anyway, I had a good laugh looking at how silly we all used to be. The most classic one was taken with my Poly friends as we wore our individual laboratory coat to take the neoprint shots. Till now, I still think we look awesomely cool with our coat. (:

After categorising the neoprints, I just realised that I took the most with my Poly friends followed by my Secondary School friends. Seems like I've yet to take with my SIM friends. =P

Ahh, these well-kept neoprints really do help to bring back the good old memories...

P.S. These lovely memories will always be remembered in me.

The weather in the respective countries was so extreme. Europe was very cold while Dubai was super hot and dry. Nonetheless, the entire trip was GREAT!

YIPPEE~ Today is the day I'll be flying to Europe with my entire family! And I'll only be back in half a month time! It's a pretty long holiday, ain't it? =D

I reckon I should be able to adapt very well over there despite the 7 hours time lag, since I always sleep in the wee hours and only wake up in the late afternoon! Teeheehee~

Geez, I'm super duper excited! I can't emphasize how much I'm looking forward to this trip! Hopefully I've saved enough so that I can get myself a Burberry tote bag since the branded goods are so SO cheap over there! =)

Time passed by so quickly, especially when you were busy preparing for the exams! School holidays have already started since last week and I've spent the whole of this week busy helping my Mum at SIM childcare centre for the children annual concert. The concert was finally over on Friday and it was pretty successful! *Phew*

Of course, in the midst of my busy week, I did go town for some shopping and catching-ups with my friends. In fact, I've spent quite a bomb while shopping for my Europe trip! Teeheehee~

I've bought myself a new winter jacket, a pair of knee-length boots, a couple of wool sweaters, a set of pink scarf and hat, two pairs of jeans from Levis, etc. And I can't wait to wear my boots! I've finally managed to find a pair that is of knee-length and will not make me look short nor make my fat legs look ugly. Most importantly, it does not make me look like a fish monger who wears black boots in the wet market. LOL~

I can't contain my excitement anymore! I'm flying off tomorrow night! HOORAY~!!! =D

It just won't stop. It just won't go away.

我真的这么好欺负吗？

我不是玩不起，而是自尊心被伤到了。

好人真难当。

Just because I'm an easy-going person doesn't mean that you can push me around.

Just because I always compromise doesn't necessarily mean that I don't have a temper.

Just because I bottle up my feelings doesn't mean that I won't get hurt.

Just because I keep quiet doesn't mean that I don't mind.

Since I can't control how people judge me or what they comment about me, I reckon I should just learn how to stand up for myself. This is probably the best way to prevent others from inflicting more hurt on me. Ultimately, the only person I can control is myself.

I've always been a happy-go-lucky-girl and will try to stay optimistic at all times. Hence, I hardly take any harsh remarks too seriously or any sarcasms to heart. However, everyone has their own limits and no one likes to be constantly judged or insulted in one way or another. You do have pride too, ain't it?

So please, show me some respect. I do deserve it, as a friend at least.

P.S. I just don't get it. I really don't.

[ The Rhythm of my Life ]

To date, it has been exactly four months since I last blogged. Life simply can't do without ups and downs. As such, I've been through quite a lot just within this short period of time. Nevertheless, life is pretty manageable for me. =)

School, as usual, is packed with numerous projects and I've been busy rushing my work to meet deadlines. Thankfully, my SIM friends are always there to bring laughter to my life, namely, Zhiyan, Meixi and Janice. We've known each other for almost 2.5 years, but ironically, we only managed to be so close during this (5th) semester. Projects must have bonded us together as time goes by. =')

As I walk my path of life, I meet new people; new friends while treasuring the current ones. I'm one who will place a lot of trust in every friend I make and treasure every friendships. Unfortunately, friendships are constantly put to test over time and only time makes me realize how many of them turned out to be only fair-weather friends or even worst, some simply took me for granted. Ultimately, they have left 'footprints' in my life and thus, I'll not neglect them unnecessarily. However, I'd like to emphasize that friends should NOT take each other for granted and I do deserve some respect in return of the trust I placed in you.

On the bright side, the happiest moment I had (so far) this year is with regards to my driving test as I managed to get my driving license on the very first attempt. Additionally, I'm only left with one more project before I get myself busy with the upcoming exams preparation. And of course, like everyone does, I'm looking forward to the holidays! This time round, I'll be going Eastern Europe with my entire family and cousins for 15 days! =D Meanwhile, I shall study hard for my coming exams...

It has been raining for days but miraculously, the sun was scorching hot the entire day! After 5 long hours of sun-tanning and kite-flying at the beach, I got so burnt from head to toe until I've got very kissable cherry-red lips now. LOL! (^ 3^)

Happy Birthday to my beloved Daddy! =D

Well, last week I've treated my parents so this week is my Sister's turn to treat them! We headed to Peach Garden Restaurant located at Thomson Plaza for dinner and the following pictures shall do the rest of the talking......

Geez~ It seems like I need to cultivate back my blogging habits and get myself used to blogging once again. =]

No doubt that I've got tonnes of stuff to blog but oh well, I shall blog something current. Just last week on Thursday, I brought both my parents to Pu Tien Restaurant to celebrate (post) Mothers' Day and (early) Dad's Birthday. My treat of course! And got to 'kill two birds with one stone'! Tsktsk. xD

[ Fourth- Stir Fried Yam ] Both my Mum and I LOVE this dish! Sweet and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which melts in your mouth. *Drools*

[ Fifth Side Dish- Fried Egg Plant with Pork Floss ] Unique yet perfect.

[ Sixth; Chef's Specialty- Pu Tien Lor Mee ] I bet anyone has tasted such lor mee in any other restaurants!

[ Seventh; Chef's Specialty- Fried "Hing Wa" Bee Hoon ] Feel that there's nothing special about this bee hoon? Then look closely again. The bee hoon is as fine as mee sua! My Dad was very curious with regards to where the chefs get their bee hoon stock from. LOL~

[ Eight; Dessert- Hot Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts ] Nothing beats a sweet dessert to end your scrumptious meal!Last but not least, my lovely parents busy eating their hearts out, not literally! xP

And no, I'm not doing an advertorial for Pu Tien Restaurant but my point is, it is definitely worth the money to spend on unique yet yummy dishes!

Anyhow, I do admit that I'm a very pampered child because both my parents have been pampering me since young although they may appear over-protective at times. It is therefore the only right thing for me to give them occasional treats to show them my love in return. That's the least I can do for now, wait till I start stepping out into the working society and earn some money. =x

P.S. Looking at their smiles make me realise how much they mean to me in my life.

I want to go kite flying! Very badly! * Cos' I've yet to try it. =( *

Lately, there are many people who purposely drive to my area to fly kites and toy airplanes. I would love to join them one day! =]

You probably can't see how many people were in the field but I tell you, there were SO many kites! What a pretty sight! Obviously, the most dominant kite among all was this gigantic and long snake!

I was looking out of my window while using my lappy when this 'scary' kite appeared RIGHT infront of me. I swear I nearly screamed because I didn't realise it was merely a kite. LOL! xP

Today is my princess Joy's 4th birthday! Miss her so much! And off I go to her party~! WwwEee~

So much things to upate yet so little time! Oh well, here's a quick update......

[ My 'New' Home ] The same warm and cosy home only with a new look: new sofa, curtain, ceiling and wall colour. =D

[ My New Bedsheet] Due to the tonnes of projects I have this semester, I've been sleeping for only 3 to 5 hours everyday. My lovely Mum was afraid that I would suffer insomnia so she bought this bedsheet for my new year. She told me: "Girl, if you can't sleep at night, you can count the sheeps on the bedsheet to sleep." How cute. =')

[ Valentines' Day ] Received a couple of gifts... =P
Firstly, Sara designed my cui-ed mp3. Now it looks fabulous! Me loves! Thank you so so much love! =')
Next, my beloved Sister gave this Coach wristlet to me. Just what I've been looking for! =D Lastly, I received this beautiful bouquet of roses in the midst of my stressful project. I was stuck at home when a postman suddenly arrived at my doorstep. Oh, did I mention how much I love surprises? =]

This is my third week of school and it's pretty good so far despite being mentally and emotionally worn out for some reasons.

Till now, I'm still trying my very best to discipline myself to sleep and wake up early. Since my school holidays last semester, I've been sleeping in wee hours and even though most of my lectures are held in the afternoon, I just need to get back to my normal routine. Fast.

Ironically, my heart feels empty for the past few days yet I'm blogging with a heavy heart at the moment.

Sometimes... ...

How I hope I'm not the soft-hearted or rather, kind-hearted person that most people labelled me.

How I wish I can be selfish in life for just once. And fight for what I want.

I pray secretly to find the courage in me to take initiatives. I reckon it's just not enough.

I pretend to be strong on the outside but I do have my down times too.

I can lend a listening ear or shoulder to cry on to people around me when they are down. I love to anyway because again, I'm kind-hearted. It's irony I can't seem to cheer myself up when I need the boost.

People claim that I'm stupid to let opportunities slip away in my own hands but again, I'm not selfish enough and I don't have to courage to fight.

I just want to be myself and it always ends up people taking me for granted.

Alright, enough. I need sunshine, literally.

Happy New Year Everyone~!!! =D

My last day of year 2009 was spent with someone special. From young, I've been admiring her because she's the most independent lady I've ever seen so far. She may be neglected by her family at times BUT she never fails to take very good care of them. Among all my cousins, she's the only one with a great heart who's very understanding and forgiving. And she's Ivy Jie. =)

We had our dinner at RafflesCity; SushiTei.

There were more dishes of course but the table was too small to contain all. So, I didn't manage to take a snap shot of each dish as we had to eat fast to clear away the plates. =/

OH~ And halfway through our dinner, we had a shock of our lives. My pretty cousin accidentally toppled my whole bento rice onto my lap! (-.-'') Now we just can't stop laughing everytime we see the above photo and recall the incident. Well done Ivy Jie! LOL. xD
NOTE: The focus was on Ivy Jie's SEXAY back and not the bottles of wine! Tsk tsk.

After we had our fill, we went to drink at Ink Bar. It's SO going to be my favourite hangout place for year 2010! =D *Sis, thank you for the great recommendation! *

[ A Special Day ]

After two long years, I've finally got the opportunity to meet my 'long-lost Sister', Yani and her Mum. =')

Well, Yani was my best friend during my first year in Poly. Unfortunately, we got into different class from second year onwards. Nonetheless, we were still as close as Sisters. =)

Occasionally, her family would invite me over to their house for dinner and that was how I started to have bonds with this family. They taught me Malay language, culture and even how to cook some simple Muslim cuisine. On top of that, I had the chance to celebrate Hari Raya with them. It was an unforgettable experience indeed. x)

Yani had her reasons why she couldn't contact me during that two years but I'm really glad that we can meet again. =') Today, we met up at Ion Orchard in the late afternoon to do some window shopping before we headed to Fish & Co. at Glass House for dinner. =D

Our feet were worn out from all the shopping so we took a short tea break at StarBucks. Yani and her Mum. =]

Soon after the great dinner, we went separate ways. Well, I'm sure we can meet up again and I'll probably try my very best to visit her family on every special occasions. x)

Last but not least, guess who I bumped into while I was on my way to the train station?! My 好姐妹, Sara! =DShe even asked her boyfriend to drive me home. So thoughtful of her lar! =') *Arvin,thank you so much for the ride!*

[ Merry Christmas ]

Hey peeps, how was Christmas? Well, here's how I celebrated mine......

Christmas day has always been a very special day to me because it's also my beloved Sister's Birthday. =]

My Mum has gathered most of the relatives from her side to celebrate my Sister's birthday. Basically, my house was having a mini birthday party. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take a photo with the birthday girl because she was already out when I woke up in the late morning and by the time she came back for her party, I was out with my Babes. =/

Nonetheless, I managed to take a photo with my loyal blog reader, Ivy Jie and my little niece, princess JoyJoy. Both of them are the sunshine of my life. =D

After snapping away, I rushed off to meet my Babes for our picnic at Botanic Garden.

My 'Twin Sister', Regina CHUA- The one who understands me inside out and always there for me be it rain or sunshine. =')

Larissa- The one who can bring lots of laughter and smiles to my life. =)

SO, Jen and I showed them what is called FEEL in just one attempt. Some things are just meant to be. LOLOL!

After which, we headed to Orchard and saw this GIGANTIC Kinder Bueno. (O_o)!

What a tiring but a very unforgettable day I had today~! I'm finally done with my commercial shoot! It'll be aired on TV, on channel 5, 8 and channel U during Jan/Feb 2010. Hope everything turns out well! =D

Well, I realized that there's a BIG difference between acting in a drama show for the public audience and acting in front of the camera for the national TV. =/ For a drama showcase, the actors just have to play their roles well while on the other hand, one has to retake his/her roles again and again until the producer nods his/her head. In other words, many 'NGs'. =x

Nevertheless, I had a great once-in-a-lifetime experience during the whole production. It was awesome cool to have a hairstylist and a makeup artist near you during the shoot, always standing by to touch-up your hair and makeup so that you're in good condition. xP

Basically, there are two different commercials for BMC Acadamy. One shoot was done by me and my three Babes while the other shoot was done by three guys. The first scene was about students using the computers. The second scene was a close-up shot of me and my three babes exchanging a conversation. They proceeded on shooting me first, followed by Jen and Gina. Laris has no pick-up lines and she was required to smile only BUT I tell you, her role seemed to be the most difficult to play. LOL! The final scene was a wide shot of all of us and the whole production took us 5 long hours for just a 15 seconds commercial!

I really have no idea how this whole shoot will turn out to be. Quite worried actually and I'm pretty sure I'll be self-conscious once the commercial is up on TV. =x I shall let the pictures do the talking now......

My oh My~ I can hardly contain my excitement anymore! I'm aware that today it's only Wednesday but I really can't wait for Thursday to arrive! =D

Wondering why I'm making a big fuss over an ordinary weekday? It's because......

I was asked to do a commercial shoot with Mediacorp for BMC Academy at 2pm! There will be a (15 seconds) shoot at Joo Chiat and at Bukit Merah Library which will be aired on TV in year 2010 around CNY for 2 months at different timings for the respective shoot. =D *This is a rough information about the shoot. More details up on Thursday.*

You have no idea how much this means to me as I've always loved acting since young but somehow I always let opportunities slipped away. =/ I took up acting skills when I entered primary school and have won a few prizes during competitions. On top of that, in Poly, I continued to pursue my 'dream' of being an actress by undertaking Drama as one of my modules where I played the main actress for a drama showcase and that very night has left me many unforgettable memories with my drama members. =')

I do admit that I may not have the look and/or figure but please don't judge me yet. After all, I may not be the chosen one for the shoot. Humans tend to criticize each other and for that, I'll get myself prepared to receive negative comments (if any) from people around me. Nevertheless, I promise I'll do my very best.

P.S. I shall not pin high hopes and I need lots of luck.

Today, I went back to school to enrol for my coming new semester. =) After which, I went down to Vivo with my two Babes (Gina & Laris) to have brunch and we caught the Couples Retreat movie. It was quite a boring movie actually. =/

We headed down to StarBucks after the movie and we slacked there for hours like a tai-tai. Lol! Dinner was taken at SushiTei and our tai-tai conversation continued. x) *Jen, we really missed your presence due to your afternoon work shift and I desperately needed you to save me from THEIR *** conversation! LOL!*

In the evening, Sara and I met up for dinner and (supposed to be) a short catch-up but our conversation over dinner turned out to be 4 hours long! x)

Both of us had a great time together despite the fact that we only met up for that few hours but every quality time spent together counts. =)

What a JOYful day with my little niece! =D

My Mum and I went over to my niece's house in the afternoon to babysit her and in the evening, we went to Causeway Point to have our dinner, together with my 大姨(Joy's grandmother). I tell you, Joy Joy sure has grown up alot! xD

When I reached her house, she was busy showing me all her new toys, hair clips, bags, shoes, water bottles, etc. (O_o)! As both of us didn't get to see each other for some time due to my exams last month, she just couldn't wait to show me all her stuff! x)

And and and......During dinner, she kept hugging me, saying:"姨姨, I like you very much!" Aww~ *Heart melts* =')

[ Mr Lost Bear ]

Today, I met up with my 'twin sister' (Regina Chua) for dinner at Esplanade and we saw a lost bear along the way. x)

Anyway, we didn't shop much today but we did have a good, long chat over dinner about everything and anything under the moon. Lol. A very simple dinner that was filled with so much laughter. =D

After dinner, just when we were about to pay for the bill, I saw a good friend of mine, Cornelyus, from SP Drama Club whom we acted together as the main actor and main actress for a particular major show. =)

We had a short catch-up with each other on the spot and it was really great to see each other again after such a LONG time! We'll be meeting up soon for Christmas dinner and/or New Year Eve celebration. WwwEee~!!! =D

P.S. Suddenly, I miss everyone in my Drama Club. I miss acting so much too! I'll never ever forget that memorable night we all had together during our show. =')

I've been shopping for the past few weeks! In fact, I've been shopping non-stop since the first day of my holidays! Gosh~ I sure pity my poor wallet! =x

Today, I met up with Jennifer at Bugis around 7pm after she knocked off work and we shopped the entire Bugis Street! Both of us were so engaged with our shopping until we forgot to eat our dinner. LOL. We had our dinner at 10pm after which we slacked away at StarBucks while waiting for her boyfriend to drive us home. Happy ladies we were! Thank you love! =D *Special thanks to Shane for the ride home!*

It has been a LONG time since the Sotong Family (my Poly best friends) last spent time together. It's really hard to compromise each other's busy schedule and get everyone (all six of us) together but I guess every effort counts. =)

[ A Lazy Sunday ]

Today, I met up with Alistair for a catch-up. Well, I know most of my friends, especially both my parents as well as my relatives can never figure out how my (close to 4 years) relationship with Alistair could turn sour out of a sudden yet we still can be best friends. I'm clueless too! =/ I guess both of us are just not fated to be couple? And I'm pretty sure we feel so much happier now as compared to when we were in a relationship. Don't ask me why, I really have no idea why. =x

Many of you approached me a few times, asking me how I managed to maintain the relationship for so long and the friendship after that. Well, I guess it really takes two hands to clap and just let nature takes its course. As simple as that. =)

Anyway, we caught the movie, 2012, at Cineleisure Cathay and had dinner at Waraku before he got ready to go back camp. The following photos shall do the rest of the talking......

Verdict: Overall, this 3 hours long movie was great and quite worth the money. It's kinda sad to know how selfish humans can really be at desperate circumstances yet there's always a good side of humans when it comes to family ties. Such a saddening yet touching movie indeed.

Phew~ All the teachers at SIM childcare centre could finally heave a sigh of relief as the children concert went rather well and smoothly after weeks of hard work and effort! =D

A big HoOrAy for all my playgroup and N1 children because none of them cried on the stage during their performance even though they didn't really perform as good as they did during the rehearsals. Nonetheless, the teachers and I were all happy to know that the parents were very ecstatic and proud of their children's performance. =)

[ Confessions of a Shopaholic ]

What a pair of super duper tired BUT very happy feet I had today! Lots of pampering! =D

First thing first, I've got a piece of good as well as bad news. Well, the good news is that my physiotherapist has finally discharged me from SGH and I no longer need anymore physiotherapy sessions! YAY! Nonetheless, the bad news is that she actually admitted that she couldn't really do much about the discomfort and pain I experience occasionally. =/ She further explained that all these occasional discomfort and pain is probably due to the strained and torn ligaments on my left shoulder during the car accident. Unfortunately, no operation can seem to help solve this issue and the only solution is to bear with it. =/ On a brighter note, my movements are now not so restricted anymore. =)

Anyway, I headed down to Orchard after my last session of physiotherapy and eventually I wanted to chill out at StarBucks cafe while waiting for my Mum to knock off work at 6pm but I just couldn't resist the shopping temptation! So, I ended up shopping around (just like a shopaholic) before meeting my Mum for dinner. =P

As most of you know that I'm not really a spendthrift despite the fact that I love shopping and thus, I was so indecisive today with regards to my shopping items! I was trying out a pair of brown boots for fun and darn, I fell in love with it at first sight and I had a hard time deciding if I should get it for my Shanghai trip since it would be very ideal to wear a pair of boots during cold periods. However, it's kinda a waste of money as you can hardly find a perfect chance to wear boots in Singapore with such a hot weather, isn't it? =/

After hesitating for some time over dinner, I've decided to show my Mum the boots before getting it. Ooo~ She actually encouraged me to get it since it's like a once-in-a-lifetime-experience of wearing boots in cold countries. (o_O)

Woohoo~! Today, I've bought myself two tops, one bottom and a pair of brown boots! =D Total 'kaching' spent = $111.25 within one day! Oh well, I guess it's pretty reasonable since I've not shopped for ages as school got busy each month. xP

Now it's time to go dreamland! Tomorrow will be a long day at SIM childcare centre! xD

Yep, I've finally finished my exams! =D

Thursday (5th Nov)- After my last paper, I went to catch the Korean movie, My Girlfriend is an Agent, with Janice, Zhiyan and his friend, Shawn. Well, I would say that this movie was pretty awesome and hilarious! x)
Rating: 4/5 Stars *Zhiyan, you can't blame me for over-rating this movie because I'm a big fan of Korean stuff! xP *

Friday- I had my 'beauty' sleep the whole day! xD

Saturday- I did some 'spring' cleaning in my room. Heh. I know most of you who have seen my room before would tell me that my room is already very neat and tidy. Oh well, for a tidy and cleanliness freak like me just couldn't stand any messiness so I spent the whole day packing and clearing away some unwanted books, lecture notes, etc. Now my room is so spacious! Yay! =]

Sunday- One of my best buddies, Matthias, just came back from his Taiwan trip with his army friends and he said he wanted to pass me some stuff so we met up for dinner and movie in town. =) I was supposed to treat him dinner for his (super) belated birthday due to our busy schedule but in the end, he insisted on paying for the movie tickets and the popcorn so I ended up not treating him at all. (-.-'') Anyway, we caught the movie, My Sister's Keeper. Darn, this movie (literally) made me cry a bucket. I swear that the entire theatre was filled with 'sniffing' sound! The movie was simply too touching and heart-wrenching. ='( I heard that the ending written in the storybook was pretty different from the movie and it was better? Well, I guess the only way to find out is by getting the book myself. =/

Monday- I'm making a trip down to SGH again for my physiotherapy. =(

Tuesday to Friday- I will be very busy helping out my Mum at SIM childcare centre with their upcoming year end concert. I'm kinda looking forward to see the children dance and sing to their families! =D

My Heart Goes Shalalalala~

Today, I've decided to stop all the mugging and do some shopping to distress. =D After studying for 5 long hours, my Mum and I headed to VivoCity as I wanted to take a look at the Best Denki roadshow.

I've always wanted to own a personal camera so that I can bring it along wherever I go as I love to SNAP SNAP SNAP! =) For the past few years, I've been using my Sister's Canon camera and since it has not been in working conditions for some time, I reckon it's time to use my own savings and get a new one! =D

First of all, here are some photos taken during dinner. Although there wasn't any special occassion today, I treated my Mum some nice Japanese cuisine at SushiTei. It's been a LONG time since I last treated her! xP

Our first dish, seafood Kaninabe, arrived and my impatient Mum couldn't wait to tuck in but the seafood had yet to be cooked! Lol! So, I made her snap a photo of me while distracting her from her hunger. For the FIRST time, she FINALLY managed to take a decent-looking photo with just ONE attempt. WOOTS! xD *I hope she can improve her photography skills SOON so that she can help me snap some nice photos during our holiday trip! =P *

I was trying to snap her can't-wait-to-tuck-in face but she quickly smiled. First attempt failed. After taking a glance at the photo I took (below), she demanded me to retake because she didn't like her hands to be put that way. (-.-'')

Second attempt. "EH! I don't like the way my hair looks here. Retake!"

Third attempt. "Eee~ Not nice! Retake!"

Oh well, I gave up after the third attempt because all our dishes finally arrived so I took a photo of the food instead. LOL! =P

Well, as you can see, I've only got my handphone camera to snap photos and it sucks! After filling our stomach with happy food, we headed down to level one for the roadshow and I was in a dilema in choosing which camera model I should get. No doubt that Canon is the best camera so far but I did have a tight budget. =/

Anyway, my Sister did a thorough research for the past few months and she said that I should consider Panasonic Lumix. On top of that, the roadshow DJ exchanged a conversation with me and he said Panasonic Lumix is currently the second best camera followed by Sony.

After some hesitation, I've decided to heed the advices and get Panasonic Lumix FS15 (made in Japan) at a reasonable price of $360 (U.P. $399). You know what, it's so idiot-proof! Very suitable for a person like me. LOL! Moreover, it's quite suitable to bring it over to very cold countries, especially when my family and I always travel during cold period of time. =)

Tadaa~!!! I chose this classic silver though the black and blue is equally CHIO. Go check out it's functions if you're interested, it's darn cool! =D I shall go explore and play with it after my last paper! xD

Meanwhile, can somebody please remind me that I still need to mug for my last paper?! Totally holiday mood now la! Lol.

Well, it's always nice to know that no matter what happens, your family will always be there for you, isn't it? =')

Oh gawd~ I'm left with 7 freaking stressful days to my first paper and I'm really super duper stressed out at the moment. I can console, encourage and motivate my friends around me BUT I can't seem to do likewise to myself. =/ Oh well, I know I can do it. I just need to stay calm, relax and stop giving myself unnecessary stress. Easier said than done though. Lol. =P

Anyway, I'm really glad to know that I've got a very supportive family. You know how easily humans can change their temper at different circumstances and situations. =x

For me, I admit that I've neglected my family for the past few weeks as I had to study outside for a more productive progress and as a result, I didn't spend much time with my family. When I wake up, they're already off to work and when I'm back home from all the mugging, they probably have gone to bed. =(

Moreover, I believe that humans tend to have bad temper when they are feeling stressed? I'm no exception. Heh. I'm really bad at controlling my temper when I'm feeling stressed in which I tend to vent my 'frustrations' whenever I talk to my family.

Nonetheless, my family will always try to be more understanding and tolerate my nonsense during this critical period of time. =')

My Dad will make sure that my room air-conditioner is working whenever I stay at home to study. Even though I may find him irritating at times, especially when he opens my door every hour to check on the air-conditioner, I know he's just trying to make sure I'm feeling comfortable to make my studying a more pleasurable one. x)

My Mum will make sure that there's enough junk food available in the kitchen so that I can munch on them whenever I need my comfort food to distress. =x Besides, she will always cook my favourite home-cooked dishes whenever I'm at home, making sure I have the right nutrition to study well. =)

My Sister will occasionally 'pop' me these questions: "How's your studying coming along? Finished studying yet? Don't be too stress, Jiayou ok?" Four words to describe how I feel towards her questions- Every Little Concern Counts. =')

I shall/will endure for a few more days. Aja Aja~! =D

Today, my Business Finance lecture started from 12nn to 3pm but I reached school at 7.30am as I decided to go school early to print out some stuff at the library for my coming exams. After which I did some revision on Prices & Market module before attending the afternoon lecture. Super duper lethargic right now. =/

Nevertheless, I feel like blogging as I think I'm going berserk anytime soon if I continue to study. LOL. Oh well, it seems like I don't have much choices but to force myself to go school early to do some mugging as I've concluded that I can't study at home. Totally unproductive. Heh. x/

After my boring lecture, I went down to Chinatown with my Mum and we've finally booked the air tickets to Shanghai. WooHoo~!!! =D

After long hesitation, I've decided to tag along with my parents since my Mum wants my company so much AND her birthday will fall during the trip. So, I want to celebrate it with her at Shanghai. Actually, I've planned to give her a surprise on the plane during our flight to HongKong from Shanghai. Well, not like as if my Mum will read my blog but I shall not disclose the details here just in case some cheeky cousins of mine will 'spill the beans'. xP

Alritey, I'll probably remain busy after my last paper as I need to do alot of shopping with my parents! *I need to get a new camera, new jacket, some thick clothings, perhaps some winter clothings as well, etc.*

I think I better get back to my mugging world. My oh my, I'm like left with 17 more days to my first paper and I've yet to study 3 other modules! So D.E.A.D! x(

When boredom sets in...

Well, it's so ironic. When I had some free time for myself, I was too lazy to update my blog yet now I'm here blogging when it should be the busiest moment in my life preparing for my coming exams. LOL. xP

Anyway, I was feeling extremely bored from all the studying today so I decided to 'work' around in my kitchen instead. I didn't have anything for my breakfast and lunch so I thought it would be great to whip up something for my brunch-ner (breakfast+lunch+dinner). *I came up with my own term. Lol!*

Unfortunately, all I could find in my pathetic refrigerator was only some left-over white rice and frozen nuggets. (T_T) Oh well, seems like it's time for me to do some grocery shopping with my Mum again!

So, using whatever ingredients I've got on hands and my creativeness, I've whipped up a dish of my own- 'Golden Nuggets Tanning on Rice'. LOL! Well, I always believe that every dish comes with their own unique names, don't they? =D

I oven-baked the nuggets to golden-brown crispy then I cut them into small cubes before frying them together with the white rice and (lots of) garlic. Of course with the addition of salt, pepper as well as dark soya sauce for better taste. =) Too bad I couldn't find any egg to fry with the rice and nuggets. =/

Nonetheless, I think it tasted equally good as long as my stomach is happy! =P However, if I had to grade my dish, I would probably just give it 3/5 stars. =x There's more room for improvement. *I just need more ingredients!*

Alrighty, I think I better stop blogging for the day. I'm actually left with only 20days to study four modules before my first paper starts! Oh gawd~!!! x(

Shanghai Here I Come~! xD

Yep, I'm travelling again during my coming December holidays. xP

This time round, I'll be travelling with both my parents to Shanghai for 8 days and HongKong for 2 nights. We'll be having COLD holidays! =D

My Mum and I will be going down to the tour agency at Chinatown on Thursday after my lessons to book our air tickets and I hope there are still vacancies left for us! *Fingers Crossed*

I wanted to go for the 7 days Beijing and 2 nights HongKong tour package because Beijing will be SNOWING but my Mum is very interested in the Shanghai package instead. Oh well, Shanghai is equally good as long as I get to travel! xP

However, to be honest, I was in a dilemma for the past few days as to whether I should tag along with my parents. I thought it would be great if my parents could have another round of honeymoon on their own since it has been ages since they last had one BUT my Mum insisted me to go along because she wants my company instead. (-.-'') Lol.

On top of that, I was in a dilemma because I was planning to work part-time at SIM childcare centre again to earn some money for my future driving lessons (if I manage to overcome my phobia after since the car accident). Besides, I've been travelling almost once a year and my pocket is suffering from a very big 'hole' (even though my parents will sponsor me a small amount for the trip).

I need 'ka-ching'!!! I guess I'll just have to save up more this time. =P
Well, I haven't been shopping since school work has been restricting my time and freedom so I reckon I should have enough savings for this trip. =)

Gosh~ I'm supposed to be studying for my coming exams yet I'm here blogging. LOL! Totally has no mood to study la. x/
I shall use this trip to motivate myself to study hard and do well for my coming exams! x)

[ A Penny for a Thought ]

Well, I'm pretty sure that everyone feels the same way as I do. Time passes very quickly, isn't it? And I have no idea if that's a good or bad thing. =/

For people who are healing a broken-heart, it might be a good thing that time passes very quickly as time heals everything.

Similarly, working adults might share the same views as the people mentioned above. Judging from the way they count-down to the number of public holidays available in the calendar and how excited they look forward to weekends on every Fridays, it is evident that they like their weeks to pass by as quickly as possible. No doubt about that. =)

However, for students who are leading such a stressful school life, we desperately hope that time will just slow down for us a tiny-winy-bit, don't we? I've heard several friends complained how much workload they have accumulated despite the fact that they studied everyday the whole week, how they struggled to keep up with the school pace and catch-up with their endless school work and the list just goes on and on...

My point is, for me at least, I can hardly find time to take a breather. Frankly speaking, I almost forgot it's September this month and October is just around the corner. =x This year, no doubt that I had fun and laughter, especially during my 21st birthday party, catching-up with my close friends, meeting new friends, etc. BUT... Sadly to say, my life still doesn't feel fulfilling enough to just end year 2009 this way. =(

For the past few months, I've been living quite a hectic life. One week test, one week project, one week test again, one week project and this cycle goes on simultaneously. Oh well, I don't remember my previous two semesters were that hectic, were they? x/

Anyway, life still goes on. =)
On a brighter note, I might be travelling to Shanghai for a short holiday with my family this December! =D

I'm proud to announce that I'm currently having my self-proclaimed HOLIDAYS! Alright, alright..It's supposed to be my major exams study week. LOL. (-.-)

Sigh, I just finished my last project of the semester yet now I have to go through another round of 'battle'. Oh well, I shall not complain further since everyone seems to be on the 'same boat' as me. =/ My first paper will commence on the 26th of Oct and last paper on the 5th of Nov before I can officially announce my school holidays. =) So, my dear blog readers, please pardon me if i go 'missing' again. =P

As mentioned above, I've been busy completing my last project for the semester and even though it was an individual assignment, I did my research and discussion with some of my SIM friends (Zhiyan, Janice and Meixi) since all of us were doing on the same topic. On the 15th of Sep (Tuesday), we all went over to Zhiyan's house for some discussion and despite the fact that we weren't as productive as I expected, both Janice and I had a fruitful day because Zhiyan prepared Japanese cuisine for our dinner. =D *Meixi, too bad you had to leave early! =( *

It was a very simple yet heart-warming dinner as Zhiyan sure did put in alot of effort in preparing the dishes. =') The following pictures shall do the rest of the talking...

P.S. A meal can be very simple but as long as you put in effort in your cooking, you will enjoy the process and everyone who eats your dishes will feel it. This applies to life, isn't it? One can lead a very simple life yet feels very fulfilling at the same time. =') It's not easy to be simple though.

Woah~ When was the last time I updated my long-abandoned blog? About two months ago! WOOT! LOL. xP Well, my apologies to all my loyal blog readers! *Ivy Jie, are you still my loyal blog reader? Tsk tsk.*

Gosh, this semester seems pretty harsh on all of us. With so many tests and projects along the way, we can hardly find any time to take a breather! x( Oh well, fortunately I'm only left with one more individual assignment to complete followed by my major exams during mid-October and then the school holidays! Time flies really very quickly, isn't it? =D Despite my busy schedule, the following are some recent updates. =)

Thursday- 3rd Sep 09:
One of my SIM friends, Zhiyan, brought us to a Korean restaurant, Woori Nara, located at 19 Lorong Kilat #01-02 to have our lunch after school. This restuarant is famous for its fried chicken in which only canola oil is used in the cooking process and it claimed that there is neither transfat nor cholestrol present in the chicken. In addition, the fried chicken was said to be rich in Omega 3 and vitamin E. Not sure how true it is but this particular restuarant was recommended by the Straits Times on the 21st Aug 09 (Friday). I shall let the pictures do the talking then. =)

Verdict: Well, overall the food was alright but unfortunately, the restaurant offers very limited variety of food. In fact, it has nothing but chicken and more chicken. =/

Friday- 4th Sep 09:

After school, I went to VivoCity with three of my SIM friends, Janice, Helmi and Zhiyan to have lunch at SushiTei. =) After which Helmi treated us Ben&Jerry's ice-cream before catching a movie, The Cove, at GV. =D *Thanks Dude for the lovely treat!*

I'm pretty worn out this week despite the fact that I've only attended a few days of school. It's probably because I'm still in the holiday mood. =/ Oh well, gonna 'pull up my socks' this semester as I didn't do very well for the previous semester. x/

My oh my, when was the last time I updated my blog? (O.o)

Well, seven weeks ago only ma! LOL. Alright, my sincere apologies to all my loyal blog readers! *To Andrew SAI: See, I've told you I couldn't blog about you because you're a jinx to my blog! I've totally lost ALL my aspirations to blog after since I blogged about you. LOL! =P*

Anyway, my school holidays have been quite a fruitful one. =D

For the past four weeks, I've been working as a part-time teacher at SIM childcare centre where my mum is working. Despite my job, I've been watching numerous HongKong and Korean dramas. =)

On top of that, I've met up with my three Darlings and did some catching-ups with my close friends whom I've lost contacted with for a very long time. In addition, I've finally bought myself an ukulele and I managed to play four songs on my own. x)

In conclusion, I've completed almost 90% of my to-do-list except getting my shoulder fix. Well, at least I attended my physiotherapy sessions a few times already. I'm still working hard on it though. =/

I really enjoyed my holidays, especially when I got the opportunity to work around with so many children. I have to emphasize how naughty the children can get at times BUT they are SO adorable! Children simply bring smiles and laughter to me every single day. =')

P.S. A new battle has just begun.

Finally~! After 12 long months, I got an opportunity to do some catching-up with my best buddy, Andrew the SAI. LOL! xP

Well, we met at VivoCity to catch a movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, followed by a casual dinner at Shin Kushiya restaurant. =)Rating: 4/5 Stars
Verdict: The movie was AWESOME! However, I had to deduct one star as the seats in GV caused discomfort to most of the audience. On top of that, the popcorn that was being served tasted so much less than the average. *Cathay still serves the BEST popcorn!*

Rating: 5/5 Stars
Verdict: In my opinion, I feel that the food at Shin Kushiya restuarant (Japanese Charcoal Grill) was simply oiishi~! In addition, the service at VivoCity outlet was excellent as compared to the outlet at Suntec City. x)

Now let me introduce the guy who ALWAYS ask me to treat him to a good meal and ALWAYS bully me... ...

What A Happy Happy Day!

Wednesday- Shopping Day! xD

In the morning, I accompanied Ivy Jie to SGH for her little finger operation while I had my very first physiotherapy session for my left shoulder in the late afternoon. Woah, my physiotherapist, Dr Esther, instructed me to do three different stretching exercises for my left shoulder while I'm at home. Three times a day, ten times for each exercise. Sianz half! (T.T)

After spending half the day at SGH, Ivy Jie and I headed to Orchard together with my Mum and my Aunty to do some window-shopping. That was when I encountered this gorgeous dress... ...
I've been in love with maxi-dress for a very long time but always can't find one that suits my height. This one was perfect, making me SO slim and tall BUT I don't really have nice 'assets'. *AHEM!*

As a result, I don't think I look nice in it. Don't you think so? I'm still in a dilema! I don't know if I should get this dress for my Cousin Angela's wedding dinner. In fact, I can't think of any other events which I can wear it BUT its SO gorgeous!

Anyway, we brought our Mothers to Shokudo for dinner. =D

In my opinion, I feel that the food was orhkay only. =/

My Ukulele, My Love.

Tuesday- Birthday Celebration x)
Finally~!!! I've bought myself an Ukulele! On Monday, Larissa brought me to Peninsula Shopping Centre to get a guitar for Gina's (belated) 21st birthday so I decided to get one Ukulele as well. xD
We celebrated both Gina's (belated) and Jennifer's 21st birthday at Larissa's house and we had SO much laughter and fun! They will always be the sunshine of my life. =)

P.S. I'm so in LOVE with my Ukulele!

Sunday- Babysitting Day =)

My cousin, Ivy, made some potato salad and 'tau suan' for me and my Mum to try on this special day. So sweet of her! x) *Ivy Jie, I know you've been waiting for this post for ages! That's the fun of it! LOL!* Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

Verdict: This is Ivy Jie's signature dish-Potato Salad. It comprises of potatoes (of course), eggs, carrots, onions, Japanese cucumbers and lastly, mayonise. It was FIRST LOVE AT FIRST TASTE! Unfortunately, I had to deduct half a star because of the fattening mayonise. It would be perfect if a low or non-fat mayonise were used instead. =)

Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

Verdict: This is Ivy Jie's first attempt dessert-'Tau Suan'. Firstly, it was quite watery as compared to the one sold outside. On top of that, it was too sweet. However, eating it with the 'you tiao' makes it perfect. In addition, this dessert actually caters to people who prefer not-so-sticky version of 'tau suan' (that's ME!) so overall, thumbs up for your first try! xD

Ivy Jie, as promised, I'll cook for you one day once my injury gets better alright?

Saturday- Prawning Day =D *I shall let the pictures do the talking!*

Prawning is SO addictive! x)The only guy who was willing to sacrifice his hands for the prawns to prick at. =x
The lucky guy who caught the prawns not because of the bait but because the prawns' legs were caught by his hook everytime they swam pass it. (-.-'')
Soon, the guys started to get bored after three long hours of standing... ...
Hoping that someone would refill the pond with prawns again... ...
While I do some cam-whoring. LOL! xP
Here's MY catch! *Wink* For someone who tried prawning only the second time, I would say it was not a bad catch after all, isn't it? =P
BIG FAT PRAWNS!!!Look at how big and fat the prawn was!!! *I swear I didn't do any 'poking' as I didn't have the 'heart' to pierce the stick through the prawns!*
All the barbeque essentials were provided so thumbs up for Bishan Park!
Our cook for the day! Heez~ The prawns were SO sweet and juicy!
Well, I had a cook and someone to peel the prawns' shells for me. x) *Good life, isn't it?!*
Oh by the way, just in case some of you were wondering how come I could go prawning despite my injury... ...Well, if you take a closer look at the photos I've taken, my left body was actually kept rather stiff. Neverthelss, I still can move lar!LOL!

P.S. I had a GREAT time and thanks for everything guys! We shall do prawning again SOON! =D

YAY!!!!!!!! =D
My exams are finally over! No more hours of intensive studying for the time being!

You have no idea how much I (together with my SIM friends) went through during the exams preparation for this semester. As for me, out of the four modules that I took, I have absolutely NO confidence for three modules, particularly Commercial Law, Accounting and Marketing. In fact, I think I'll probably have to repeat these modules next semester. Well, not that I'm pessimistic but I did the papers and I know exactly where I stand. Despite that I studied hard, the questions were rather unpredictable and I made tonnes of careless mistakes. =x

Anyway, I guess I can't do pretty much about it now but to worry about my results only at a later time. Meanwhile, let me enjoy my two-months-long holidays!!! =D

Since I can't work part-time due to my injury, I've got alot of time to spare and I've promised myself to improve my time management so that I can accomplish all the things that I've aimed to do. =P

Let's take a look at my list......

1) Regular physiotherapy sesisons for my left shoulder. *I'll try not to let it ruin my holidays though*
2) Watch HongKong dramas as much as I can. *DVDs are rented by my Godmother*
3) Watch Korean dramas as much as possible. *Via online*
4) Learn Korean language. *Through self-learn books*
5) Regular meet-ups with my three Darlings. *Gina, Jennifer & Larissa*
6) Regular catch-ups with my close friends whom I've lost contacted with for a very long time! *Andrew SAI and especially Meifang & Jasmin*
7) Babysit my little niece! *My Darling JoyJoy*
8) Get my shoulder fix asap so that I can get an ukulele and start practicing on it. *Self-learn*

I Just Want To Be Ok

What a lovely and catchy song to end your long and tiring weekdays, isn't it? =)

My blog song, 'Be Ok' by Ingrid Michaelson can be found in 'The Bunny House' movie. On top of that, I got to know this song from my Darling Larissa when she was playing on her Ukulele. Uhh, this song sure brings back all the good old memories I had with my three Darlings. x)

Talking about Ukulele, I got to know this guitar-look-alike instrument from Larissa as well and it was 'First Love at First Sight'. Love the sound of this instrument, totally! xD

Generally, the Ukulele is commonly associated with music from Hawaii. It was generated in the 19th Century as a Hawaii interpretation of a small guitar-like instrument brought to Hawaii by Protruguese immigrants and it looks like the following: I'm so going to buy one and learn how to play it when my injury has recovered. It's rather easy to learn on your own as it has only four strings and besides, my Darling Larissa is a very good teacher. =P

As for my MRI scan results, it was indeed quite a bad news BUT it wasn't as bad as I thought. *PHEW~!* Dr. Joyce told me that my left muscle joint has come loose due to the car accident and I had more x-ray tests done on Monday morning for my left shoulder and swollen chest. Results have confirmed that I'm having major fractures on the left shoulder and chest.

I assured her that I can move pretty much without the arm sling now and that was when she put aside the thought of having an operation to put a metal joint on my left shoulder. Besides, she was afraid that the metal joint might impose some difficulties in movement. =x Now her main concern is that, hopefully my fractures can heal by itself. If not, she will have to see what she can do next. Darn, I have to go back to SGH again in three weeks time. Seems like I have to travel to SGH quite often now until my left has recovered. =(

Anyway, I would like to thank all the people who were there for me when I needed a listening ear as well as those who showed care and concern for me. =')

[ Staring Out At The Window With A Heavy Heart ]

First thing first... ...
To all my Marketing project group mates (Gladys, Janice, BoonSim & Helmi), thank you so much for all the hard work. I'm sure we all had fun working together despite the fact that we were all very stressed about completing the project. Hope our effort will enable us to get good grades. (^-^)v

For the past few days, my group mates and I had many sleepless nights just to get our project done as the deadline was on Wednesday. And now, I have to study for my coming Economics test which is on Monday. (T.T)

Anyway, I had my MRI scan for my left shoulder at SGH yesterday and I was asked to go back for a follow-up in two weeks time. Basically, I had to lie down on a bed before the doctor pushed me into the scanning equipment. The whole process was painless but it was definitely a scary experience as the noises created were very loud. I was even asked to wear ear plugs by the doctor. So, to ease my tension, I tried to sleep throughout the whole scanning process. =P

I thought I was recovering fast as I could move my left upper body pretty much without the arm sling now. Besides, the pain on my left shoulder wasn't that painful anymore. Unfortunately, a nurse from SGH called my Dad today, regarding the results from my MRI scan. =/

The nurse informed my Dad that there's actually bad news from the results and I can't wait for the next follow-up appointment (which is in two weeks time) as the doctor needed me to go back urgently on Monday morning. =(

Right now, I'm having mixed feelings. This can't be happening to me. No, it shouldn't be. Why? ='(

When my Dad called to tell me about this bad news, my heart really sank and I broke down in school because I'm totally not prepared for the worst at all. *What if my condition is really bad? What if I really need to go through an operation? What if... ...*

I'm sorry, I don't wish to be such a pessimistic either. I'm just feeling very helpless now. There's nothing much I can do until Monday when I get the full details from the doctor and I really can't help feeling worried. ='( The wait is just SO torturing for me and my family.

The worst thing is, both my parents are so worried about me that they have lost their appetite. I didn't mean to make them worry about me again and again. I really don't wish to. My heart is aching SO MUCH to see them this way. ='(

*How should I console my parents? How can I assure myself that everything will be alright? How can I force myself to concentrate on the revision for my coming test?*

P.S. Why am I such a problematic child? ='(

Heh, I can never be an adult whenever I'm with kids around. xP

I had tremendous fun at my niece's birthday party yesterday! *Despite the fact that I had to explain my injuries so many times to so many people. LOL.* My cousin-in-law hired a balloon sculptor for the party and all the kids were crazy over the sculpted balloons! In fact, some of my cousins and I were busy queuing with the kids, hoping to get one for ourselves as well. =D

Well, I must say that kids nowadays are very clever and demanding. Guess what they asked for from the balloon sculptor!? Some of them asked for Barney, T-Rex, Stegosaurus, snake, elephant, zebra, giraffle, Doraemon, Hello Kitty,etc. (O.o) LOL! The balloon sculptor himself didn't expect such challenges from the kids either.

Anyway, I managed to get two pretty flowers and a super-duper-adorable bunny! xD

P.S. I want to be a kid again and I believe numerous people don't wish to grow up so fast either. =/

WwwEee~! Today, my little princess JoyJoy is having her three-years-old birthday party at Changi chalet. Its party time! I miss her so much and I can finally get to see her later in the afternoon together with all my cousins and nephews! =D

Oh yeah, did I mention that she can actually do a magic trick all by herself though she's only three years old? Here's the prove... ... LOL!
